Western 'burbs Friend needs help

I have a buddy who inherited his Grandpa's '75 Olds Delta 88 land-yacht.

From what I've been told he's had it to several places, trying to get a leaky axle seal repaired to no avail. I'm guessing he's either got a wiped out bearing and it's wallering around (destroying the seal), or a grooved axle shaft.

I don't know if there's a "speedy sleeve" kit, or a "offset/new surface on the axle" bearing kit available for this thing.

Does anyone know of a good shop in the Western 'burbs that actually fixes stuff and aren't parts-changers? I've got too many irons in the fire to tackle this, and I don't have a press or puller to do the job.
