Small factory starter for SBC or BBC

This is a nice upgrade from the big bulky starters of the past. It is small, light weight, and does not seem to heat soak that i have seen so far. The application is a 1998 chevy truck 1500 with 5.7 vin R engine. Look for the permanent magnet or gear reduction option NOT the direct drive. Here is a GM number from Rock Auto but you should be able to look it up on most any vendor sight.  ACDELCO 3371022 {#88877121} Along with this you will need the matching starter bolts as these are shorter then the old school starters.

One side note this does not have the R terminal at the solenoid to backfeed 12 volts to the coil when cranking.

It doesn't have the R terminal to feed power to the ignition during the crank sequence.
This will require a direct power feed to the coil, bypassing the starter circuit.

3rd season with one in my Chevelle. I like it and have not had any issues to this point.
