I was wondering if anyone has a 1970 or a 1971 round dash housing they want to sell. My dash has a number of old screw holes in it and cracks radiating from them. I would like to change it out. I thought about trying to fix it, but there are too many. The cracks are long and the surface shifted differently on the sides of the cracks.

You may want to weight the option of a new, reproduction dash. The originals are 47 years old by now and have gotten more brittle with age. Not to mention the cost to purchase said "vintage" part. I'm not a fan of reproduction parts, but sometimes we need to consider them. Just an idea to kick around.

Yours sounds like someone screwed a panel over the face for aftermarket gauges. Several years ago, I tracked down a '70 SS I had owned and the owner had done just that to it. Looked hideous and I'm sure the original face was badly disfigured. Is your car Red by any chance ?

You can call John, in Lino Lakes too. he has Chevelle parts and may have a dash panel. Not always the least expensive, but close by to see in person.

Another option is Auto City Classic in Isanti. I got mine there about 6-8 years ago.

Talk to Denny at ACC.  He's the man, and owns a '71 Chevelle convertible.  thumbsup

Thanks for the response guys. My car isn't red. I checked with John he doesn' have. I've been experimenting fixing mine. If that doesn't work I will go with a repop from Denny.
