GM sport mirrors.

It looks like the Astre will be going down to the bodyshop sometime near the end of July.. The doors on the car had the economy chrome sideview mirrors and I would like to switch to the GM sport mirrors I pulled off of the cosworth vega parts car I have.. My question is had anyone ever rebuilt one ? The mirrors in mine are scratched up and Ive seen replacement mirrors advertised.. But like a lot of things these days Im skeptical about fit and quality..

I did a little more research and found direct replacements from Burco... Looks straightforward enough. Now the only question I have is should I use the adhesive discs provided with the mirror? Or some type of aftermarket tube adhesive like a 3M product?

If you don't trust the adhesive that comes with the mirrors, 3M makes very good double sided tape too. Car Quest, around the corner from you, may have it in stock. Some of the trim tape is very thin too and I know that works well from experience.
