Turn Signal Switch

I am replacing the turn signal switch in my Malibu because the 4 way flasher switch is broken inside.  I started looking around and can only find an updated style AC Delco D6211 or others similar.  My flasher switch has a chrome knob on it not the newer plastic round style.  It doesn't look as though I could simply install my knob on the new assembly.  Does anyone know where I could find the original style or is this the new style replacement?  Not the worst thing to change to the other style I suppose, I'm just not sure it will fit in the column without modification.

I am also looking to change the upper column bearing since I can hardly turn mine by hand.  I found a few NOS items on E bay any other good places to look for those?  I suppose a guy should also look at the bottom bearing since I'm this far.

Is there anything else I should look for while I have the column tore apart?

I have seen new reproduction column bearings for the '64-67 style now. There should be new replacements for the '68-72 around without paying the NOS price.

Try calling James Hinshaw at Hinshaw's Chevelle's next week and see if he has a source for the correct signal switch and bearings. 336-586-0802
