 I agree on the 62 but we did surface them on the mill

These were recently completed 2.02 / 1.6 stainless valves, dates are H 29 9 and H 27 9. The heads were magnafluxed, surface milled, 3 angle valve job, screw in studs, valve locks, aftermarket retainers, positive seals, springs good for .50" lift

Hmmmm.......... race car heads being sacrificed for the house already ???

Any idea what the chamber size is now ?? Wondering if they would boost the compression in my '38 with 8.5.

Late August cast date could be early LTI heads too, or are they a different casting number ? I have a hard time finding casting info since Mortec went out.

 No not racecar heads we wouldn't waste these on a race motor tsktsk

just going big block for the current Chevelle build and and aluminum on my 383 for the 68 in my shed.

I think they are 59cc I guess we could cc them.

 I'll pull a valve cover and see what it has now. If they are late model smog heads, these might be helpful.

I was told the block was set up for a blower so it may have dished pistons too....dunno

 Glad you got them sold. I consulted with my engine guru and he didn't feel they would work with my possible combination. I have junk small valve, crack prone, smog heads on there now and may need to pull one to determine what pistons are in it before getting different heads. It's ALWAYS sumthin'...banghead

You should be able to look in a spark plug hole and get an idea of what it has. If it has 76cc heads a flat top piston will yield around 8-8.5 compression.

 That's what we suspect but I need to find a bore scope to look. No idea if the heads were milled either...headscratch

Bottom line is, it runs fine for now and I need many other expensive parts before messing with a good running engine...clonk
