Maybe the key to this being the final fix will be taking a picture of the newly repaired engine and using it for your avatar. There may be some bad karma still lurking in the current picture with whatever was causing the oil leak.

I was staying under the radar on my updates as every time I say something I am doing I have major set backs. Stan shamed me into posting I guess. The car is back after the GM engine warranty updates. So far, knock on wood, no oil consumption. Weather permitting it goes to Master Transmission next week for the 200 4R upgrade. I just got the Shiftworks kit yesterday so I have to pull the console and do some upgrades this weekend to the shifter. I would like to have everything done this fall so I can put it to bed this winter ready for spring.
Congrats on getting it back. I believe you will have no further issues with the engine now that it has been properly assembled. Nice to see you are doing the trans now too. You'll be a happy clam next year with everything done and working well....
Jon, glad to know shaming you works. I'll keep that for future reference.
Seriously, I hope those motor mount bolts get a chance to take a final set, and you're going to love the 200R4 gear spacing and overdrive. John from MT will stand behind it, and will work with you if it's not how you wanted it set up.
Maybe Ron's onto something about the avatar pic?

OMG Jon! If that's your car in the avatar, there is hope for my vert yet! That's probably what mine will look like in a few weeks!
There is hope Stan, hang in there....It only takes $$$$
Wow! Yes, I've started thinking that 2013 may be the underside replacement/rust repair/clean up the driveline & reinstall, then paint in 2014 since most of the budget will be in replacement floors/pans to get it solid again... Sorry to derail your post, but good to know there's hope.
