Welcome to the forum. There are a few people here who can advise you on this project. As for being there, that may take more time. Member Tim is just finishing a nut and bolt restoration of a '69 and can probably tell you were every bolt in your bucket goes.

I think John, the webmaster, will most likely move this to a more appropriate forum section too. It will get more visits in the "projects" section.

As for encouragement.......YOU CAN DO It....nana    How's that ???

At least you could have given him a two or three banana encouragement.  Seriously, only one?  Remember, it isn't the number of posts, but the quality!

Hi - I am need of some help restoring my 1969 Chevelle Convertible.  It previously underwent a rotisserrie restoration.  It is painted, the engine is in (not running yet), no interior.  I need help putting the last of the pieces in place. I had a someone else dismantle the car (now I am lost) and I would like to HIRE someone to look over my shoulder and make sure things are correct( I live in Northeast Minneapolis).  I could also use some encouragment, as this has been a seven year project, and am currently on the one bolt a day program.  If nothing else, I am wondering if someone else has a similar car I could look at for reference - mine is a 350/350.  Thanks for any direction or references!

I also have a '69 vert. I am by no means a mechanic nor have the knowledge that Tim does but I have had most of the car apart at one time or another. I live in Lino Lakes and you are welcome to come and look at anything you would like, take pictures if you want and I will answer any questions I can. I have a big block and T400 but they can't be that much different. Send me an email, PM or get my phone number off the private section of the website and I will be glad to do what I can to help. Jon

I would start with these two manuals for re-assembly.

Welcome to the club; everyone here has been in your situation at one time, some more than once. It can get a little overwhelming but you landed in the right place.

Those two manuals are very helpful if not essential even for the experienced guy. They are the Chevelle bible when it comes to assembly. Cars put together without them generally look like they were put together……. without them and lack detail.

What should we call you, got a name or should we just call you 69 vert?

Can you make it to Car Craft?
