I have a 1979 350 with 882 heads out of a Caprice sitting on a stand in my garage.  Free to whomever in the club would like to come and get it.  Has oilpan, valve covers, exhaust manifolds, balancer.  No intake or carb.  Must take all.

John I think it is a 3970010 casting block like the one in my Chevelle but I'd have to double check when I get home.

It's been sitting on the stand for 10 years. It has a broken a valve spring.  Never took the heads off to see if the valve had any issues becasue of that or not.  Don't remember the mileage on it but was either side of 100K if I had to guess.  The cam had been replaced before I bought the car with a comp 268H.  It was in my daily driver at the time and when it happened I bought a low mileage 350 out of a 74 Monte a friend had sitting around and threw that in the car.  Kept it with the idea of someday rebuilding it to put in my '47 Ford.  Now if I ever get around to the truck I would like it to be LS powered so I don't need it taking up the space.

Chris,

Are you interested in the engine?

Perhaps you could intercept Bryan and get one of the 882 heads I gave him to give away and swap out bad head. ..I'll even donate a set of head gaskets, performer intake manifold and front end SBC accessories I have listed for sale to get you going.

If not interested, Michael, do you have an engine hoist? I am trying to figure out if I can drop it in the back of my trailblazer.

Since Bungy already spoke up for them. Im not about to step on his feet to get them but I was thinking between all those parts, a guy could forsee making a running engine out of it for cheap. If Bungy decides not to grab them, ill take the heads off Bryan and grab the block from Mike and make a go at building a cheap motor out of it.

Moved on to a new home over the weekend.  Nice to have the space back and wife is happy not to walk by it every day.
