Found my dream Chevelle for sale on CL.  '71, SS, 454, black with white strips and interior.  It's an automatic, and would rather have a 4 speed, but it's cool all the same.

It's got an aftermarket dash (silver turn signal openings), otherwise, this is it.  Have posted this before, but when I was 14 or 15, this car with Cragar SS rims pulled into the local gas station in the small town where I lived, and I was hooked on Chevelles forever!

I'd pay $35K all day long for something like this compared to that '70 SS convert for $20K.  But that's just me.  cuckoo

Im right there with you Stan. You could have paid 20K for that car and put another 30K into it. Or take the 50K invested and put it into this instead.

I also saw that ad and since the seller is Bruce Tchida. You can buy with confidence as well. He is a stand up guy. Thats whom I bought my 69SS from a few years back. He is selling both of these cars. He has some pretty nice stuff as most of us in the club already know.

Not gonna happen.  Would have to sell the one I have and stumble into another $10K min. to make it work.  It would probably be cheaper to change out the parking lights to make it look like a '71, grill, color, and interior on the one I have now.  Seeing Gearlube and Dashboard's quality of paint that came out of the Burnsville Maacco makes me think near show quality paint IS possible for $3-5K...  headscratch
