Took the family & my Mom out to dinner tonight not too far from her house (Santorini's - very good), so took the opportunity of being there with other drivers. Hooked up the battery, turned the key and vrooom.

Now I get to install some of my Christmas presents!!

Nothing major, a few chrome pieces to replace some ding'd up originals up front.
Then I may start soaking the body mount bolts.... got a set of bushings 2 years ago but never got into the "fun" of changing them.
Then I really want to check the driveline angle(s) again. Just to make sure I got things right after the swap.

(Did you get an answer to your pushrod/hydroboost questions?)

A little different than at my place yesterday huh... it sure helps starting the car to have the 'Batt' and 'Tach' wires hooked up to the HEI terminals in the correct orientation!  clonkclonkCan't believe I didn't think to check that much sooner... they are marked now though!  Will stop by O'Reilly's and pick up the factory connector so this doesn't happen again!

Thanks again John for your help getting the gauges working and discovering the gauge shop reversed the orientation of the temp gauge resistor.  Doh!  doh

I worked on it some more last night and got the dash all mounted back up, and the stereo stuff in place and most of the stereo wiring done.  Need to pick up an antenna cable extender at Best Buy on the way home since I put the AM/FM/Ipod radio in the glove box.  Then install the 'dummy' AM radio in the dash, put the carpet down, and install the front seats/console.  Then I hope to take it for a drive later this week to check out the gears (don't worry Steve S., I'll take it easy for a few miles on those gears)!  gearbanger
