Well looking at the countdown to CC my days are numbered.  As some of you have read I had too fun of a day at the dyno and destroyed my driveshaft and tranny case.  I get the tranny back middle of next week so I should be OK on getting that in.  Next is the driveshaft though...

I plan on getting one made so I will be cutting it close for Car Craft due to not being able to take measurements until I get the tranny back next week.  Since I will be getting one made I want to upgrade my u-joints and yokes (1350) so I have to add a few days in for installing those and a driveshaft loop not to mention problems always arise...

If anyone has a driveshaft they are willing to sell that would be geat.  I have a 72' with a 200-4R (same length and yoke as a th-350) so almost any A-Body shaft with a th-350 length should work.

Thanks

Andy, put a WTB post on CL and you should get some hits there too.  That's what I did when I was looking for one, and I had a couple of guys call me back pretty quickly.  You will want to have the yoke-to-yoke length dimension ready as that's what they will need to confirm it's the right length.

I have an extra shaft you could have, but it's from being used with a Turbo 400, so it's too short.  I ended up using a TH350 shaft too.

I've got an extra one. You're welcome to it. It should be close.

Darren may still have the driveshaft from his old blue car. It was a 4 door. I think its still the same but I could be wrong about that.

He needs one from a 68-72 2-door (112" wheelbase)

68-72 4-doors, wagons, and el caminos had a 4" longer wheelbase (116")

64-67 were all 3" longer (115")

The shaft on a TH400 is shorter than a TH350.

That is what I was thinking as well. I have a lead on a 71' Lemans driveshaft that is a th350 car, but I belive the BOP rears were a different snout length. I may post on Craigslist today to try and find the correct shaft.

Perhaps measure what you need and we can go from there. If you find one that is longer it is easier to make shorter.

Nope, the BOP cars use the same shaft. '71 was the first year of widespread use of the corporate 8.5 axle and it is about 1.5 inches longer than an 8.2  A '71 shaft should fit your application but the rear u-joint may be a different size and you'll need to get a conversion joint.
