'67 El Camino question . . .
(Preview)
I just finished reading the February issue of the NCC newsletter --- nice job, Bryan. In 1967, my brother purchased a new El Camino with a 396 c.i. engine. The newsletter article referred to the SS model being available with a 396 in 1966. I assume the SS model carried forward to 1967. What's unusual is t...

Everyone hibernating ??
(Preview)
I know I've been in the house most of the last few days. Just went out to clear the driveway and walk of the overnight fluff. The temp isn't too bad today. Never went in the shop this week. It takes a lot of heat to warm it up to a comfortable temp and I'm stuck doing business taxes anyway. NEXT week I'm gonna...

Annual Barrett Jackson Love it or Hate it
(Preview)
'It' started tonight on ESPN. As I've posted before, I like to watch it, but don't at the same time... So far tonight being the first night, seems like prices are already pretty strong. I haven't seen many 'driver' quality entry level cars go through yet. They've all been $20K and higher. Rick-How...

Karl's Biscayne exhaust?

Does anyone know who has/had the exhaust off Karl's Biscayne? Karl thinks he gave it to someone in the club to modify to fit a Chevelle. My brother has recently bought a '68 Biscayne, and is looking for the correct factory dual exhaust hangers, which were included in the parts given away by Karl as evide...

At Barrett Jackson. What a freakin' spectacle. We spent the whole day there yesterday and saw maybe 1/4 of it. I intentionally left my camera behind so I wouldn't spend the whole time taking pictures. Should have left the cell phone behind as well. Just couldn't resist. [IMG]https://i117.p...

Lowering the ride height on my convertible.
(Preview)
I want to lower the ride height on my convertible. Lowering the air ride when it's parked is fine but when I put enough air in it to get a comfortable ride it sits to high and the angle drive shaft angle isn't quite right. I bought 2" drop spindles for the front but not sure what to do with the back end....

One thing we may do this winter is work on the front end of the car. First time ever doing this. Car primarily Street/Strip car. Where Do They Go?

Where do all the 10mm sockets and wrenches go? I must have at least three each 10mm deep and shallow 12 points sockets and as many six points in both ¼ ” and 3/8” drive, plus a half a dozen wrenches yet when I need one I can never find one. Is there a little metric garage fairy that hides just number 10mm? :c...

Winter Fun
(Preview)
Sometimes you just have to go out and enjoy it; we were lucky this year the ice is very smooth. We cleared off a 75’x85’ skating rink and about 700’ of 3’ wide trails that go all around the pond. Neighbors have stopped by to skate and help keep the ice clear. We have had some large bonfires, lots of hot food,...
