Since there were no Chevelles made in 1963, thought it would be to show a few updates on my 1962 Rambler Classic 770cool

First thing was getting rid of the nasty padded dash

Think the 770 will be ready for BTT50's next week.
As of tonight, it should be a go, remaining items should not be too bad and most of the hard to come by parts are here nowrolleyes

Looks really clean. Should be an easy detail job.
BUT, you are wrong, grasshopper, there were many Chevelles made in 1963, as assembly started in August, 1963...stirpot

Wow, huge difference! I wouldn't have guessed those would clean up so well.

Seems I was a bit too optimistic,,,

Got the car back on Monday the 8th of December, the transmission worked well on the 7-mile test drive homethumbsup

Will be getting going on a few smaller items as time permits

With winter full on in Minnesota and the work on the Rambler is getting going
Backup light lens was removed to check the bulb, leading to a need for a new gasket. this also confirmed the problem was not the bulb. Suspect the Neutral Safety switch is bad.
It also allows the car to start in any gear so i think i will order a new one
Door locks did not work. The passengers lock just needed some lubrication and now works. The driver's side will need some more involved repairs or replacement.
While the door was apart, I reglued the side of the cover.

Nice work on the gasket !

As a small piece of experience to share, paint stir sticks under your door covering clamps prevents the clamps from denting the vinyl, yes the dents come out eventually, but the sticks help eliminate any doubt.
