I don't know if others are i n the same situation or not. My understanding is that unless you install fusible links in certain position your could burn some of your components or your entire electrical system. The first fusible links were installed in the 1967 Chevelle. So I am adding them to my 66 at Four different positions. Two of the four are only applicable because I have a factory Ammeter gauge that I want to protect.
The main one is between the positive feed from the battery + terminal and the Junction box terminal on the firewall. The other one is on the 12R wire that feeds power to the fuse box. If you have a 66 or older car you may want to explore this option or if you have a newer chevelle that the Fusible links have not been removed.
Well after practice I started to install FL . I installed the one on the 10r wire from the battery and one at the junction post that goes to my ammeter gauge. I hope to do the others tomorrow. Hope that eliminates the possibility of destroying my wire harnesses.
