Body Molding

Chevellestuff.com lists a body molding RPO B84 and there are pics of it on sample cars on that site.

It does appear to be a factory applied option.

As I recall that type of trim was put on by some after market company's, I seem to remember it a lot on of different cars back then. Could be dealer installed.

B84 it is.
I was thinking how lucky it was to find a complete build sheet above the fuel tank. Then the original owner stoped by and said “the dealer gave me this when I bought the car”.

No disputing the original docs. That adds a lot of value to it by having that documentation.

I can't fully read the build sheet, but I see Black or BLK mentioned in a couple of boxes. Was that the original body color? Looks like it has the white interior in the pic.

Box 79...color 48-48..Sequoia Green

Noted above the original color was green, as Mitch points out, paint code 48 sequoia green like your green Chevelle Stan. The owner at some point changed the color to black. With door panels off and fenders removed the original color is visible.
Body’s on the rotisserie, frames off to blasting with the original Z15 wheels, engine, trans and rear end were dropped off at shops yesterday for rebuild. Next week the body will go to media blast.
Aside from two small areas of rust on the floors I have found no other rust on the car body, the inside of the fenders are dusty but there is no rust.
