Lotsa fun, but talk about a money-pit/time-pit. Now I know what the Corvette guys go through - tack the work "marine" on anything and it's an automatic license to add 200% to the cost of a product.

Whatever. Did the 1st "major" tune-up on the Glastron since purchase 10 years ago (!). 1st tune-up in 10 years you ask?? Boats are maintained on engine hours, not calendar time. I've done annual maintenance and fluid changes, but not anything else.

She got plugs, wires, cap, rotor, timing, oil, carb adjust, greased, and all the other stuff... just in time to put away for the season headscratch

Also the hull got some TLC.

I buy my boat parts at NAPA for the same cost as automotive. They usually have the marine application cap. The rest is just standard parts.

Always disappointing to put the boat away with our short season but come spring you will be glad you did the work this fall.
