This thread was prompted by a suggestion in our April Newsletter.

We've all got "stuff"... and some of it is on display in our spaces for a reminder or a nudge that will generate a smile. A trinket or doodad from an event in our lives that is special. Post some pics of it!!

Ok, I'll start...

Well, a few trophies... some car, and a few (of all things) golf (!!??). My most recent model car builds, a jack-a-lope, and some vintage advertisements from the war-era and the great trains.

I got a lot of Hamm's Beer Bear and New York Yankee stuff mostly from the 60's. A few car things but nothing real special. Always been a Yankee fan and my dad was a huge baseball fan so I got some pretty nice baseball stuff. And I like beer so somebody gave me some Hamm's glasses once and that grew to a pretty big collection. Mostly in closets now, should dig it out and ebay it. Not real attached to any of it.

I have a lot, tons of stuff that I still haven't dealt with, framed, or put up.

Here's some of mine, sorry for the low quality pics:

Signed by warren Johnson:

IMG_5547.JPG

Pic of Dale Sr/JR which both signed, matted with pic of Warren and Kurt Johnson-also both signed. Presented by GM.

IMG_5548.JPG

4 models I built: the 69 Camaro is stock, the late model is detailed down to zip ties, the Chevelle is custom with lots of detail including fuel cell and the stock car started out stock, then got transformed into a post-race version complete with flat tire, body damage, etc. The 3 die cast are all signed by their drivers-Warren Johnson, Kurt Johnson, and Al Hoffman.

IMG_5549.JPG

silkscreens of 2 posters from Main Motors cars shows long ago, poster of the original LS engine, 69 and 70 Chevelle prints

IMG_5550.JPG

Signed poster from Farmtruck, Warren Johnson signed poster from the old Bench Racing Sunday (he attended it), Chevelles print

IMG_5551.JPG

Custom made sign made by Chris P. It lights up.

IMG_2360.JPG

Custom inked pic of my car, the same one that was used for the Chevelle Row signs. Some various wall art.

By the way, looking for vintage drag race goggles to go with the helmet and respirator.

Something a little different. Ticket stubs from some of the concerts I've attended. Missing some good ones. Not sure how these survived.

Wow Keith... that was a walk down memory lane for me!  Felt like I was 18 again...  thumbsup

Keith. What are you using for a display to show off those stubs? I have a stack of ticket stubs about the thickness of a deck of cards and was planning to do the same thing. Looks like you and I were under the same roof at all those Metallica shows and I know I was at one of those AC/DC shows as well.

By the way, Rush is coming to the TC on their current tour at Excel May 12th.

Nothing yet.  Suggestions?

That AC/DC stub was from a show in San Antonio.  I saw them again in Mpls during the same tour.  Those stubs are lost along with many others.
