Nice running stock 350 Chev For Sale-Yes, it's mine

I'm selling the engine out of the vert to drop in a little more HP, so members get first shot if interested before it goes on Craigslist:

  • '74 vintage stock Chevy 350
  • Turnkey from carb to pan other than I'm keeping the air cleaner, accessories-power steering pump/alternator, headers, and flex plate if it will work with the 2004R I'm installing (I might have an extra set of pulleys if needed)
  • Includes Edelbrock intake, HEI disty, and Rochester EGR carb
  • Runs great in all temps, hit the key and go
  • Starter, fuel pump, and water pump have 2500 miles on them (new last summer)
  • Slight blue smoke on start up occasionally (probably needs exhaust valve seals, which I have that need installed), and weeping a little anti-freeze around the thermo stat housing
  • I pulled the pan and valve covers last winter for inspection, and all looks good

Can hear run before I pull it sometime in March.

Going on Craigslist for $650, but Club member price is $500

This would be a great little engine for a street rod, driver muscle car, or truck with little investment.  I put over 2500 miles on it last summer without any issues.

PM me if you have any questions or are interested.

Thanks,

Stan

Sale pending with another member of the club.  Hopefully it will end up with him.

Since it was in the upper 40's today, I opened the shop door, hit the throttle a few times, cranked it over, and it started right up and let it warm up nice and good.  No runs, no drips, no errors.  I sometimes kick myself and ask why I'm selling it since it runs like a top, but it will be fun to have a few more horses under the hood.

Hey Tom, just got back from Japan for 5 days and got around to checking posts.

I'm going to start another thread in the projcets section with some details, and a guess the hp/torque challenge.
