Morning Rant... Parking by non-car people. Arghhh!

Drove the vert to work this morning sice it is a decent day, and parked it at the far left end of the visitor parking away from everything.  I can see it from my office window, so that's reasurring.

Until... someone parked right next to me and left 14 open spaces to the right!  What the heck is up with people?  I guess they aren't car folks that understand there's a reason for parking so far away from everyone else... C'mon, aren't they a typical lazy U.S. citizen that wants that pole position right next to the front door so that they don't have to walk very far?  laughing

Just like having the last open seat in front of me at the movie theater, then some very tall person (no offense to my tall friends) sits down right in front of me after the previews have started and I now have only a partial view of the screen.  I'm a magnet for unaware people!

park in the center of 4 spaces. Everyone will call you names, but you're protected.

 Um, no, you're not the only "magnet". I had a women park right next to me at a Sears a week after I bought a spankin' new Cuda. She slammed her door into my car while I was sitting in it....angry I jumped out and chewed her a new life as she was just waking away. She couldn't care less. I'm betting she cared when she came back out and her whole door was caved in from my boot...Imgonna

And the theater thing..........OMG, I thought that only happened to my wife and I.....laughing

Could be it WAS a car-guy who parked next to you, and did it just to be sure no careless idiot would park next to you.

Unfortunately, this person came back out and got her sweater, so I saw who it was.  All I will say is, definitely not a car person...

Another car buddy of mine at work saw it, and he drove his motorcycle to work, and the person that parks next to him was on vacation today, so he offered for me to park next to his bike, so I had a stall and a half.  Then there was a downpour, so I can no longer say the vert has never seen rain... so it was a bad day to drive the car. banghead

You need to take those orange cones with you to work next time and put them around your car :). As for the show thing. We sit as high as we can get!  No not getting high!!! But way up at the top in the Middle. So no ass wipe can kick the back of my seat. Then here's  trick i heard . Spill your drink on the seat in front of you. No TALL person or anybody for that matter will sit there :):). But you have to get in there 1st!!!

People laugh at me when I say it..
But Im far more comfortable about the safety of the car going wide open down a drag strip all day long than I am making a trip to the grocery store.

And it happens again.... Tina and i went to Herberger's in Bloomington last night for a quick cruise, and I parked waaaaay in a part of the lot where nobody was around.  Went into the store, came out and found this lovely person parked next to me....  Note all the open spaces around, but Nooooo, had to snuggle right up against the line to me.  I swear people are jealous and think... 'I'll park right next to the nice car to **** off the car guy!'.

Then I moved the car while waiting for Tina to finish her shopping, and saw this one happen in person.  The little old lady could hardly get out of her car, and banged her door into the car next to her and didn't look twice!  angry

I swear I'm an idiot parking magnet!

Yeah, I have several more dings on my car than when I got it. Most are on the body line which really sucks too.
