 Hard to say from what little he says and 2 pics. No description of drivetrain. This one would need a set of eyes on it for rust and overall condition.

paint's cheap. You already have numbers for the car and it's the right year. Only purists will even notice.

I remember back in the day... most of the cars had factory side moldings on them.  Seems like only in the past 10 years or so when they are restored that people took them off for a smoother look, and most repainted cars are pampered and not parked in 'regular' parking spots.

 I can honestly say I have never seen them on a Chevelle.  Learn something new every day!!
