So the knob for my headlight switch pulls off every time. The inside of it has been stripped out. I have another setup in my old dash but I seem to remember something about removing the dash pad and a special trick to get the knob off??? I don't thinl I want to JB Qwik the knob on.

There's a little spring button on the switch body that locks the shaft into the switch.
- Pull the switch "on"
- Depress the button & hold
- Pull/wiggle on the shaft and it will come out. (you may need pliers, without a knob on the end).

Getting access to the spring button is the trick. The dashpad comes off pretty easy on your car.

Just push the shaft/knob assy in to reinstall. It'll lock automatically.
