Anyone have one of these lying around? It’s the seat back release for a 72 bench seat.

Looks the same as a '69... I'll take a look if I still have one in my "junk I'll never use, but is too good to throw away so I'll put it in this box and move it a hundred times, but never find it again" stash. Fortunately, I just moved that box to a convenient location, so I should be able to look for it when the kids take a nap.

That's my problem also, to many 'I might need that one day boxes" everywhere. When I was in the Navy and moved every two to three years I didn’t have the problem. I’ve only been retired since Jan 07 and I can’t believe how much stuff has acuminated.

I sometimes find myself buying things because, I can’t find the thing I have, only to find the thing I had all along, shortly after I return from the store with the thing I bought because I couldn’t find the thing…well you know.clonk

I learned long ago to just go buy another of whatever it is I can't find. It must take the fun out of the "hide and seek" game for the tool/part/whatever because it soon reappears in a place I know darn well I already looked 5 times. Kinda glad to hear it isn't just me or that I'm loosing my mind.

On to the knob, it also looks just like the one on my Camaro. I also have many of those "need it someday" boxes and will keep it in the back of my mind to look.

Hey Dashboard, going through some boxes and ran across an extra '72 seat back release. It's not concours quality, but you can have it if you want it. I'll bring it to the next meeting.
