numbers matching LS5 cars are currently selling for that. I would say its at least 25K over priced.

Is it a 396, or a 402
I've heard of neoprene, not neoprim (maybe a new element like "unobtainium")
Differentials - plural?
Nice that the interior comes with an attorney / counsel
Will a '70's trunk hold 500 cubic feet?? (Torque is pretty big you know).

clonk

(I really wish people would proof-read!)

A 71 clone for $29k with the horrible wood grain dash and the 80's paint job....this is a $15k car at best...

C'mon guys, let's not be haters on our Chevelle bretheren.  Craigslist is all about 'Buyer Beware', and if someone is gullable enough to pay that kind of money, shame on them!  clonk

Plus, they could be future/past members and might be watching our site, and wouldn't appreciate the bashing.

Sorry Stan but at $46.9K some bashing here would be acceptable. Could be a very nice car but the price is right up there with the $600.00 hammer.

I actually made that consideration when I made my post, I totally get what Stan is saying. Sometimes its a club member we dont know that may be selling the car. However all things considered, Kevin is right. The truth hurts when you price a car well over the current market like that. Even if the news that its way over priced does come from your peers in the local Chevelle club.

Thought I saw a 70 396 at both Car Craft and Farmington for sale.  Priced around $50,000.

What do you think about this   http://forums.usedcarsplus.com/classic-cars/03-use/chevrolet/290586267033.html   one.  Has a ton of things wrong and no verification of a L78.

You guys missed the big indicator of the entire post.

"FRAME IS POWDER COATED WITH CLEAR COAT. $11,000 PAINT JOB BY AWARD WINNING BO VESCIO"

That my friends is what he thinks sets it apart from the others. If someone desires a huge price on the car advertises it and gets it that will help you mortals get better prices for your cars. "I just saw a Chevelle Clone advertised for $46,000 so mine must be worth $50,000 since it is a true SS"

Hmmm...I should advertise mine like that.

"FRAME IS DIRT COATED WITH UNCLEAR COAT AND OIL. $3000 PAINT JOB UNNOTICED BY AWARD WINNING BO VESCIO"

I would run that guy for pinks, though...

On a different note. There was an original numbers matching LS6 on Craigslist the other day. Ad claimed the floor pans were good but needed quarters and fenders and paint, fathom blue, matching LS6 engine and M22 ran but needed a rebuild, Gauges, full documentation and was being sold by the original owner. Looked like a nice project. It looked like it may have been the exact same combination of Terry Didion's car. Price was 30K. Someone got a great deal on it from the look of the pictures. The ad was gone the next morning.
