Another member has an NOS AM manual for sale here... http://northstarchevelles.activeboard.com/t42480794/dynomax-mufflers-nos-am-radio-67-66/

Don't know if he still has it. Price is/was right as you won't find a clean AM/FM for anywhere near $100.

The last 66-67 style am/fm I saw for sale was priced over a grand, needing to be restored. And even that was a fair price. They are unfortunately quite spendy.

How good do these look ? one just sold on ebay for low 6's but had a few pitts and I would like a better one, they are getting spendy.

Your original radio remains the same in appearance; but it is converted to and am/fm functioning radio.

If you find just the AM or AM push button you can get that converted and it still looks stock.

Seems like a good idea, but it won't look like a AM/FM you get the FM put in a AM radio but I'm looking to have a real one, or I can put my sparkomatic back in. My ears are getting bad so it probably doesn't make a difference on sound quality as much as it use to, but I'm guessing that it doesn't make good clean power when turned up and I need volume i have a conv. I have time to try and fine one because I won't make the road this year just got it back from the painter and I don't have anything incluing wiring. It seems like the replys on this think they are 800 on up over a 1000, made that one on ebay last week a deal at just over 600.

That 1st option for around $600 should look like the original. 2nd option listed is what Dave was talking about and will still look like an am as you noted.

These guys are in Blaine, next to the "old" Corvette Specialties

They offer replacement (correct impedance) speakers and radio conversions.

Thanks John. I have been checking on the ebay items. I guess the one from WI requires new wiring and new Speaker's and my rear fader switch will not work. An acquaintance has seen the other one for around $600 at a swap meet and doesn't feel the face looks to good.

So on the guys in Blaine, do they use the original face plate along with original wiring and speakers? Thanks.

 

Looked at the Blaine web-site.  Appears to be the same thing as the WI ebay guys.  Same price $385.  I sent them an email to check on speakers, fader switch, and wiring.

I had the guys in Blaine do the AM radio in my camaro with there conversion. Works great but yes I did have to put the correct Ohm speakers in to match the conversion. I like being able to use my Ipod the best with it. The only thing that they do that is not factory looking is a little led they add so you can tell what mode it is in, but most people would never now it is not supposed to be there.

Looks like the 66 and 67 are a little different. Besides the knobs, minor differences between the push button and the slider bar.
