New cabinets are coming to Angie’s kitchen. If someone has a use for some nice solid oak cabinets with sliders in lowers and pantry for the garage, cabin, basement or whatever these will be free for the taking.

All I ask is if someone wants them, they take them all and pick them up as soon as they are available which should be about the second week of April. I do not have the space to store them and do not want to be moving them around.

cab1.jpgcab2.jpgcab3.jpgcab4.jpgIf no one is interested the cabinet installer will haul them off.

Nice! If nobody else wants them, I might find a use for them.

I really hope someone else needs them more than I do though... I'd be storing them at least until we move, which might be a while.

If I had seen this 4 hours ago, they would ALL have my name on them. I've got the room and could use the storage..

I'm sure Kevin will explain more, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has an ulterior motive that involves car stuff!

After nine years of my wife complaining about the cabinets here. I INSISTED we get a complete kitchen make-over 15 months ago with granite counter top. She doesn't like to spend money so it was a battle to get her to go along with it. Now she LOVES it and wishes she had done it sooner....

She practically hates clothes shopping...

Angie’s the same way, hates to spend money. We where going to reface, install new drawers, doors and reuse the counter tops. Got a price from HD, it was outrages.

Went to a friend that does up scale custom cabinets in Lakeville. Completely redesigned the kitchen and dinning room. New everything all I have to do is remove the old and the price was 25% less than HD cost for a face lift.

I’ll post some pixs when we’re done.

That cabinet reface folks try and sell must be a way to sell all new cabinets and kitchens. I still have yet to hear of anyone actually getting it done, they get the quote and then replace them all.
A friend who does custom cabinets for a living and said they actually come in at or below standard cabinets from the big box stores.

I hear the same thing from my friend in Lakeville. He uses a CAD system that sends the design information to a router-cutting table; someone just needs to keep putting wood on the table.

He has a nice shop and does some non-traditional things. If you want cabinets for a garage or kitchen, he will help you design them then if you want to assemble and install them, he will give you all the material and hardware precut. Saves a lot of money and the quality far exceeds anything you can get at the big box stores.

We did the SAME THING !!! Reface estimate blew us out of the water. They did new too and that was higher. Went to Home Depot and came away thinking we would live with the old stuff forever. Finally called a custom shop nearby and contracted with them for the cabinets. Then it took 2 months to talk her into granite and find a company to do that reasonably. We spent 3 Saturdays going to the local granite warehouses and looking at the slabs before we found "the one"....it was amazing, we both saw it and said "that's it !!". We NEVER just agree on furniture/colors that quick.
