I found the power steering brackets but need the alternator brackets. This is for a long water pump setup and I need both the upper and lower bracket.

It's for a 69 chevelle that I am swapping a 396 into. So I would believe your 70-72 stuff should be all the same. Bowtie gave me your info I will give you a call.

The 70-72 upper bracket is different thatn 69. The 69 upper was a one year only bracket. I ordered one from TNT in Blaine and it came in today.

Hmmm... All the catalogs I looked at like year one and ground up show the brackets to fit 69-72 applications? What appears to be different on them since you will have them side by side?

The 70-72 brackets have 4 holes in them for things like the heater hose bracket, wiring plug, ground wire, etc plus a large hole in the center for tightening the belt. The 69 has only two small holes for the heater hose bracket and the wiring harness. If I could figure out how to post pix on this site I would. Send me an emai laddress and I will send some photos of mine. My email is jonh1373@comcast.net

Oh that is no big deal to me, this car is not original by any means so they will work fine. I will call you early next week.

Thanks

I am only getting rid of the upper one so you will still need the lower.

Jon, to include a pic you can either use the check box that says 'Attach File(s)' under where you post the comment, or upload your pic to something like Photobucket and then paste the Image URL into the body of the comment block, and then it will appear when you post.

Hope this helps.

This is the 70-72 as I understand.  The 69 only has two holes for the heater hose bracket and the wiring harness.

(Thanks Stan for the help.  Didn't work last time for some reason.)

Are you still looking for the lower mounts ? I have the spacer, long bolt and link pieces. I don't know about the actual bracket. I will need to look for that. If you are coming to the November meeting, I can bring what I have.
Please respond thru  the PM system. I can access that but not the forum unless I have a lap top.
