I bought some replacement seat belts because my car didn't have any installed when I bought it. The originals came with the car but are in pretty bad shape. The guy I bought it from put new carpet in and didn't cut any holes for the seat belts so I can't tell where the mouting points are. I hate to just start h...

another reason to avoid that deep water
(Preview)
Picture this: You have a 2007 Nissan Maxima, nice car. It goes into the water doorhandle deep. you then keep the engine running while stuck. Here comes the fun part: #1-engine hydrolocked. That means it injested enough water to not let the pistons move up or down anymore. Before it did that, the tranny...

Good service for a part I needed-TSI in Brooklyn Park

I have said it before on here, but sometimes it's hard to find a place that will take care of us older car people. I found another good one today. I needed a small seal that's inside the speedo gear to cable housing on the tailshaft on my 700R4 tranny. Being a partsman, I did the Napa/CarQuest/GM dance. Nad...
