Making URL Links active in a post
(Preview)
I've noticed a few people posting URL links that aren't active and Mitch and others are reposting to make it active. I think there is a simple solution to this; after you paste the link in the post, remember to hit the 'Enter' or a space key. I just did this and it worked. I believe that if you hit the Submit...

Anybody R/R water pump on 2003 GMC/Chevy Truck w/5.3 litre engine?
(Preview)
So I had my oil changed at my friendly Goodyear shop, and they tell me I need a new water pump because it's starting to weep. I haven't noticed anything on the floor yet, so it must be a small amt. The truck has almost 100K miles. Their estimate is around $600 ($250 for the pump + $250 labor +$100 for anti...

(Preview)
I've seen lots of Robins, some green stuff in the yard, and the real proof is that my irrigation company called today with a reminder that they are coming over Sat. as scheduled to 'turn on' the system! They have a pre-season and post-season early bird rate if you schedule ahead, so I did that again th...

What Buffer should I buy to use for cleaning and polishing the car/
(Preview)
Do any of you guys have a preference as to which power buffer to use. Kind of getting tired of using the old hand method that I learned back in 1958 to clean and polish the car. Do I have to spend around $150 or is there a good one in the $75 to $100 range? Any recommendations? Thanks.

Anyone use exhaust band clamps?

I need to connect the downpipes from the exhaust manifolds to the exhausting tail pipes. Both are 2.5" dia. tubing. I bought these band clamps from Summit thinking I can cut the downpipes and the tail pipes so they butt together, then use the band clamp for the butt joint. As I look at the band cl...

Anyone running 15x8 wheels with 4.5" backspace on a '69?

I currently have 15x7 wheels with 275.60.15 tires on the rear. I don't like the balloon look of the 7" wheel with the wider tire and want to go to an 8" wheel. Anyone see any issue with the deeper backspace on a stock '69?

Saw a black 68/69 chevelle come in today to work
