Bought another Malibu today
(Preview)
It's a 2011 for my wife, LS nothing too special model, but the price was right and it gets way better mileage than that Uplander we had. Couldn't pass it up for the price.

Picked up the new owner of the Cutlass at the airport this morning. Went to the DMV, lunch and then showed him the car and then took it for a quick test drive. Too bad it's raining...couldn't really get on it. Just went down the road 45 minutes ago. He's driving it home to Rochester NY. Should be fun bu...

Need advice on a storage problem
(Preview)
I have a power glide tranny. Over the winters since 1998 it has leaked 1 quart of tranny fluid every year. It is the only fluid this car leaks. I changed over to a neopreme gasket in 2005. It still leaks the same amount every year. Once the driving season starts it does not leak. This is a problem only over th...

Anyone with experience or have heard about how to re-condition the Mag Style 65-72 wheel covers?

I guess I am kind of occupied with re-conditioning the original style covers. Trying to decidedbetween the dog style and the mag style. I have some pretty good information regarding the 66 dog dish caps. Now I am looking at the set of 66 Mags I have. Mitch has a set, so he might also be interested. ...

Gauges and dash illumination input needed
(Preview)
So, now that the Chevelle is on the road, I get to dig into some of the other 'issues' I need to take care of. I have the SS gauge dash and only the Temp, Gas, Fuel, and Speedo work. The Amp gauge pegs to the bottom of the gauge, and when I hooked up the tach (with a square wave filter) it bottoms out too. When I tu...

Darren's window repair

I had Darren here today to repair a water leak in to his trunk. It was what I expected....a rust hole in the channnel. We spent a good deal of time scraping out the old sealer and rust. Looking for your opinion?
(Preview)
With my car getting so close to being finished, I have been looking at the photo below (background on my PC) a lot and just not sure if I like how the front wheels look in the picture? Seems like to much room, too small of tire? Without redoing the whole rims, etc. any/all feed back would be appreciated....

I am going to replace the tires on my '69. I have original date coded wheels. The current tire size is P 205 70R 14. I don't want to go any larger in height, but I would like a little wider tire.
