Everyone knows that no matter how carefully you wax the car, you WILL get a stripe or bump of wax onto the black textured trim, or the window rubber... and it seems that NOTHING will get this off of, or dissolve it. nice seeing stan and mitch in hastings missed gearlube though. met a guy at the river falls show saturday morning. he had owned my chevelle at one time and was the one who brought it from california to minnesota. said he had a trim piece he would give me someday in hastings.

Aren't most of the El Camino parts (except the body ones of course) interchangeable with the chevelles of the same years? Things like rear ends, dashes, steering columns, etc.

Finaly washed the 71 for the first time today (had it since 06) and took a few pictures. Looks OK from 70 feet or so, a few of you have seen it and my shop, not so great up close!

Just saw the new Transformers movie with my son. They had a 69 Chevelle SS in the movie? It was the same color as Jon H's convertible, but a coupe with black vinyl top.
