Still Lurking
(Preview)
Hello, Mike Hayen here (Silver Mullet)... I am still lurking the website. It is nice to see that the club is still running strong; seems like a lot of great involvement and focus. I moved to North Dakota. I was hired by the North Dakota Highway Patrol and am currenlty in the academy in Bismarck. I will...

Mowed the lawn today
(Preview)
This has got to be the earliest I've ever done that. I removed the blades yesterday to sharpen them and had a slight mishap. I use my 1/2" impact to zip the nuts off the blades and when the center nut came loose, the torque of the impact spinning at 6,000 rpm threw my hand to the side and the nut must have...

Good timing light recommendations
(Preview)
This weekend my timing light leaked out all the wire smoke inside and no longer works. Voltage was good at 14.4 at alternator, so it was an overcharged voltage, just a cheaper timing light meeting it's end. So what are some good timing lights?

Not car related-anyone install a floating deck?
(Preview)
I'm going to build a 10 X 8' floating deck using a concrete pier system. Anybody use these piers before? It saves putting footings 4' down since it spreads the weight over the entire deck, and doesn't tie into a structure. i.e. house, garage, etc. And... it's a company based out of Minneapolis! -- Ed...

Somehow something got on my white rear seat back and bottom. Blotchy spots all over, from something like dirt, airborn grease, overspray, newspapers or whatever. Tried dawn soap and wash cloth with no luck, then leather vinyl cleaner with no luck. Then a toothbrush and dawn soap, again no luck. ...

We got back last night from a week in Orlando. No opportunity to gloat over warmer temps down there. I ran to the DMV this morning and got the new tab for the Harley. Can I replace my Silveradio 1500 inside manual rear-view mirror with a self dimming mirror?

Picked up the new 1500 yesterday. Aboslutley hate the manual dimming mirror. I new the truck had the non power folding non blinking outside mirrors; but didn't realize the also subsituted a manual inside rearview mirror. I was thinking that maybe a salvage mirror out of a previous year would work....
