Speed Channel show "Hard Parts"
(Preview)
Just caught the first episode of this show. . . . . Might not watch any more. Fyi, it's a reality show set inside a parts store in the Bronx. Its an independant store, but setup like you would figure a large and busy store would be. Completely laughable, though with all the ridiculous things we see and get a...

Did a little racing on Saturday
(Preview)
Jim D (bowtieman427) and I dodged the rain on Saturday and went to Cedar Falls. My best time last year was 12.13 and this winter I changed gears from 3.42's to 3.73's, which I hoped would get me into the 11's. I spent the day working on my transmission tune, trying to get the car to shift at max rpms' by it...

I have a friend of mine that is going through motor, and front suspension on his 1968 El Camino. His question is: On the blower motor, there is a rubber tube that goes from the motor housing to where? His is missing, how important is it? Power steering effort ? for Chris or Brad Or anyone with PS Rebuild Experience
(Preview)
Talked to Chris in MO and Lee mfg in CA this morning about a ps rebuilt, ratio change and T-bar change. Chis uses all your original parts and puts in a new worm gear and piston. Does not recommend T-bar change. He feels the change to the quicker ratio will increase the effort. $340 Lee mfg uses all your or...

Appears my Carb Leaks, any Suggestion as where it Leaks and How to fix?
(Preview)
Take a look at the photos. One shows oil. Other shows where I wiped up similar pools of oil. I think it is oil from the MO I add to the gas or from the blue stabelizer that I added for winter storage. I think it is leaking and the gas evaporates and the oil remains. Looks like I m should try a new manifold gaske...
