Does anyone have a photo of the copper washers that were used on spark plugs in the 60's? Were they similar to the indexed copper washers that Jegs or Summit sell? Do the copper washers seal better? thanks

Ice Storm out west of here...

Don't know if it made the news here, but I had the joy of driving to Aberdeen SD late Monday afternoon. Just about when I crossed the border things got "interesting". For those that don't know the geography of SD's eastern edge, there is NOTHING TO THE HORIZON that will block wind/snow/ice....

How do you remove a broken throttle plate blade screw from the throttle shaft?
(Preview)
Well, I tried to remove the screws that someone else installed. I wanted to put in the original type screws with the slotted head and the H back in. It looks like the guy used Red Locktight instead of blue or staking the screws. 1st one was OK. 2nd one broke. 3rd one OK, 4th one broke. I guess I...

At the last meeting there was talk about making some club plates. I went to Finishing Touch the other day and talked to them as we talked to their graphics folks at the October meeting. Looking for the clip or a photo of the clip that holds the starter wiring harness to the block of a 66 Big Block
(Preview)
This is not the clip on the starter that holds the harness to the starter. It is a clip that was installed at the engine assembly plant that mounts on a bolt that hold the bell housing to the back of the block. Thanks.

Since I am rebuilding my carb in hopes of stopping leaks and cleaning the intake, etc so that I can touch up some paint issues, I though maybe I should check the torque on the intakes and heads?
