Any issues with running a 396 with the Vacuum Advance canister plugged?
(Preview)
I have always had a problem with the car kind of lurching when below 1800 rpm in all 4 gears. Today a friend came over and plugged the VC line so it is adding no advance. Base timing is set at 14* with the distributor re-curved to add 22* with all in at 2600 rpm. VC was adding about 20* all in at idle. Well the...

I've been trying to find the date for the party and there is NOTHING on the calendar, or in the events/meeting/members only forum. I know I saw it in a news letter, but I have no idea how to access those on here either. We're looking at doing something Dec 12th and that date seems to vibrate cobwebs in the ca...

Any way to avoid hard start problem after Chevelle has been siting for a week or two?
(Preview)

Is there a check valve on the outlet side of the fuel pump? If so, can it fail? How would you check the fuel bowl? What about determining if fuel has dr...

(Preview)
After helping me with my ignition, a fiend gave me a ride in his new HellCat today . He ordered it about 10 months ago and just got it this September. Push a button and you have 700HP or 500HP. My chevelle is kind of like a VW beetle compared to the Cat.

Saw this '66 Aztec Bronze Chevelle at a show today and I thought of Mitch. Cool show. They had over 2K cars in a park, and a downtown cruise tonight (didn't go on the cruise as our daughter is in town for the weekend). There was an original owner '69 Yenko there too. Turns out he lives about 20 min. from m...

I have had a Torin 2 1/2 ton floor jack for many years and it has worked well. Recently I've noticed that it slowly drops while I'm setting the jack stands, and after using it for three different jobs this past weekend I have started to look at new ones. Anyone have a preference steel to aluminum? Seems ...

Do you know any shops that would coat locally? I don't want to buy new headers as mine were special order, and bent, and worked to fit perfectly. I would rather take them off and have them done. About how much would it run?
